5 Tips for Newbies to Nootropics

Nootropics are not the same as smart drugs.

Smart drugs are usually prescription “hardcore” drugs that can leave bad side effects.

Meanwhile nootropics, by definition, are cognitive enhancers that don’t leave bad effects.

So while nootropics can be taken on a regular basis, smart drugs (Adderall, Modafinil) shouldn’t be taken on a regular basis by a healthy individual.

Fake nootropic reviews exist.

There are plenty of bloggers out there looking to make money.

Since mainstream media is catching on to nootropics, they’re falling for the same rookie mistakes as we have. They think a pill can make them perform like they see on that old Limitless movie.

Swindlers looking to make a quick buck are willing to exploit that naivete by reviewing nootropics that they’ve never taken.

That’s why we make a point to include our personal experience in these articles.

There are no experts in nootropics.

I personally started taking nootropics 8 years ago. Let me tell you – not everyone reacts the same to each nootropic.

The best anyone can do is provide you info on (1) the chemical changes your body undergoes and (2) their personal experience with the nootropic. Since everyone is different there is no one-size fits all.

The best you can do is understand the science and understand your own body. Finding what works best for you is about learning what imbalances your body may have and knowing what you want to gain by using nootropics.

Lots of manufactured nootropic blends don’t work.

The problem is usually (1) the caffeine is doing most of the work or (2) the nootropics are under-dosed.

Personally I hate to talk trash on a supplement that I find doesn’t work. But if a blend has many positive reviews (by non-nootropic users), I won’t dismiss it entirely without suggesting a much more effective supplement.

It’s worth spending another $10 for something that works well over something that’s only “meh”.

Know what you want to accomplish with nootropics.

Have a goal and consume nootropics to further your progress.

Don’t take nootropics for the hell of taking nootropics.

These are tools best utilized for productivity. They aren’t “do-nothing dipshit” drugs like weed or heroine.

Experiment with nootropics and figure out how it can be used to live a more fulfilling life.
